too bad i already sent my Christmas cards out....

I'm just coming down from one of my favorite weekends. Jules and I started our weekend by enjoying breakfast and a spa day in La Jolla on Saturday then I got to spend some quality time with some of my favorite guys and join them at a Christmas party in the GoldenCrest area. Highlights included, the rap group giving a "shout out" to Pat, my betting $5 bucks that drunk groupie would fall by the end of...woops there she goes... into my leg and onto Clark's foot. Spoke too soon. The night didn't end there though, as we proceeded onto WestEnd to close the night with a few drinks and close the bar as well. Yet another highlight of the evening included Clark and Kevin and I getting "all emotional" outside the bar just as two guys fell out of the bar and into the street fighting with one another. it was a perfect "and on that note.." moment. Shocking as it may seem, Clark and I still did not go home! We went to Han's house for a "late night" which for me included running around the house with a sword and running into a glass coffee table not once, but twice. We finally left around too-late-o'clock and caught a cab back to tha MV.

I'm not going to lie, Sunday morning was rough. I didn't feel very good until I got a bloody mary and some potatoes in my belly. Brunch in Del Mar was lovely. Luke's attempt to "not cry" really made me totally "not cry" and we definitely would have been kicked out had we stayed in the garden much longer. But damn, did we get some good pictures. The day continued with a little trip to Kate Sessions and thus, the photo above. What you can't see is the super duper awesome bounce-slide thing these kids were playing on. And by kids I mean, Hans, Pat, and about 4 dozen 7 year olds. The day continued with football and a visit from Lana banana!! Yippee! It was so great to see her! She's the bestest and I can't wait to visit her in San Fran. The evening ended with an impromptu sunset pizza party on the beach. It was a beautiful evening and made me feel really lucky to be where I am and know the people I know. I second Mel's new rule... no one else gets to leave thankyouverymuch.

xoxox
happy holidays.

song o' the week....deckchairs and cigarettes...the thrills
"you said, let's go to San Diego... hey, that's where all the kids go...just don't change a thing..."
